Cash Handling Congress

The 6th edition of the Cash Handling Congress will take place on November 24 in a new on-line form.

Cash, since its use by the Phoenicians in the 7th century BCE, remains the most popular method of payment to this day and is the dominant method of payment for Poles with nearly 80% of cash. share in the total number of payments made by natural persons. According to the statistics of the National Bank of Poland, the number of notes and coins in circulation has almost doubled in recent years. The entities that actively participate in the process of cash circulation in Poland are the National Bank of Poland, banks and companies dealing with transport, counting and cash handling.

Congress is an open platform for discussions between major market players and technology providers. It is an opportunity to present the expectations of individual market participants.

The congress, organized by the Polish Bank Association and the Center for Banking Law and Information, will be held under the honorary patronage of the National Bank of Poland and the Polish Organization of Cash Service Companies (POFOG).

In this year’s edition, we will focus on the following issues:

  • New perspectives and cash management during the COVID-19 pandemic
  • The impact of modern technological solutions on the development of the cash handling system
  • Security of the cash trading system in Poland.

Registration

The conference is addressed to employees of banks and retail chains responsible for handling cash (including ATMs): heads and employees of cash and treasury departments, treasurers, etc. Participation in the conference is free of charge for representatives of banks, credit unions and the scientific community.
